This is a sign at a local used bookstore.

As this is a monotonic filing order, it's probably as good as any other for retrieving, and it's definitely a good setup for shelf-scanning.

Sure, they're talking about the books on the shelves, but it quietly delights me to think maybe they mean that American history itself is now, finally, roughly chronological. About time someone cleaned that up.
