Started going to the gym with an entirely new program 8 weeks ago, somewhat aided by 24hr fitness' less lame equipment. I reached my first fitness goal (related to leg strength and endurance) this morning, 4 weeks early. Theoretically, it's supposed to take 12 weeks to reach this point, but I'm now about 15% over the test measurement on any go-round.

At this point, I should theoretically start on plan 2, which involves getting personal training and the like so that I get better ideas of how to build 'core' fitness, which has been my weakest point since the gall bladder/bile duct surgery and associated epiphenomena. I think I need personal training to do well with plan 2, but the personal trainers at the gym I'm a member of are mostly just there to sell you on personal training overall. Strangely, this would be a great time to be working for msft or goog. If people have related recommendations for PT, that would be awesome. I have been consistently annoyed by the two different personal trainers I have tried so far @ the 24hr downtown.
