Tomcat for the Mac

It took me a while, but eventually I was able to cut through all the weird and useless information detailing difficult steps, and realize that it was just the same as any other unix machine and I could just download, unzip, untar, and have it running in just a couple of minutes.

I suppose now I need to figure out which of the 1000s of frameworks and other things to use to write this LIS-related application that’s been kicking around inside my head for the last while. It has to be in Java/Tomcat because of some support libraries I need.
