ziptie's oral exams this morning, they went exceptionally well. I've rarely seen one go so smoothly, although this is the first master's one i've attended.
It was a good summary of his thesis, which has a bunch of fairly complex material on the visual representation of qualitative data. there were a bunch of good rules about how to go about it. I'm trying to talk him into speaking at ASIS&T PNC, although one of his examples is a library org chart, which is likely to spawn some 'interesting'1 discussion.
But huge congratulations are due to him!
1 and by 'interesting,' i mean 'not germane to the topic.'
