i'll be at barca tonight at 7:30 in case anyone cares to drop by. otherwise i'll just be reading the book that [livejournal.com profile] rimrunner bought me for my birthday, which, incidentally, is the bestest book in the entire world.

My two favorite traffic signs in the world are the one that says 'A STREET DOWNTOWN' in oakland heading south and the one that says 'FORT LEWIS / NO FORT LEWIS' on I-5 in Washington. The first one is just sort of pleasingly generic -- 'the exit for when any street will do' -- and the second one is generally true because every exit either leads to fort lewis or not. I still wish the sign at the intersection of i5 and i90 said 'N Vancouver BC / S Vancouver WA', but that intersection is inane enough as it is.

That looks like a fantastic book. I read a book last year on the discovery of the brain and the impact on the world. This seems like a nice follow up to that.

Hello, I believe we met last summer when [livejournal.com profile] tanjent brought me to a housewarming party in Seattle. I just wanted to comment in order to affirm the interestingness of that book. Unfortunately, I haven't actually read it yet. I picked it up last summer right before moving from Texas to Seattle, but I've had lots of neglected reading material ever since. Alack. But anyway, your LJ seems interesting so hope you don't mind my add.
