rwxi have this recurring dream that at the end of the summer i end up moving down to san francisco with someone, we get married, have a kid, end up somewhere in the south when displaced due to an earthquake, and move back to seattle in 2015 or so. there's a lot of variants on the dream theme, but all of them are pretty sureally fun. apparently, the climate in seattle is better in 2015 and there are windmills everywhere on the hillsides and the viaduct has been replaced by SF's embarcadero.
i got a good night's sleep last night for the first time in a while.
Irrespective of all that, I'm significantly reducing the amount of stuff I own for unrelated reasons, planning on keeping just the things with real sentimental value and the things actually needed for good living (with some occasional exceptions for good home decor.) you probably wouldn't believe the amount of stuff i own. dropped off a big load of shite at goodwill today, going to craigslist/ebay stuff when i have some free time next weekend. working on papers now (with a stop by a bbq and possibly a luau later.)
cat's been throwing up hairballs because i've been shampooing her. this is one of the best parts of cat ownership. it's also past the time of the year where she sleeps in the bed, and back to the time of year where she sleeps far away in a private place. the downstairs at my place is pretty much the sovereign nation of cat and computer these years.
