Through some colossal fuckup, I had the wrong date for the Cypress Semiconductor PSoC seminar/class/training that I was planning to go to tomorrow -- the message I got had 12/8, and the actual date of the seminar was yesterday.

That's pretty farking annoying, but it does leave me open tomorrow to do whatever. I have no plans for friday through sunday at 1pm, although I may watch the red wings on saturday afternoon.

before i look over the list of shows, etc..., does anyone want to see a movie? I'm interested in seeing Casino Royale, The Fountain, Epic Calypso (apocalypto), Stranger Than Fiction, and Happy Feet. Probably when I'm done with the day's projects, I'll look over other things.

On a completely random note, Eragon is the dumbest name for a movie ever. (*"dragon")++, yeah someone must have bust a nut over that one.

Before it was the dumbest name for a movie ever, it was the dumbest name for a book ever. Somehow though I totally missed that E follows D substitution game. Then again it's technically a children's book written by a teenager that everyone is fawning over as the next Harry Potter style author.

And the Fountain is only worth seeing at the dollar theater. While beautiful, it's a pastiche of an insipid story.

I've heard that Casino Royale is drool worthy, and Happy Feet was actually cute.

Me too; I assumed it was a fanfic-ish play on the name "Aragorn".

I give the kid props for even finishing writing a book at that age, but as far as I can tell it's otherwise unremarkable.

I'm not so much impressed by the writing of novels at that age. My girlfriend from High School wrote just as much as this guy. But he got his published at that age, and THAT is definitely an accomplishment.
