I had a little political crush on Bill Bradley back when I lived in Jersey. Every summer he'd walk up and down the entire Jersey Shore and just talk to people, ask how they were doing. Like, how they were really doing... financially, mentally, in their neighborhoods, etc.
My dad was his limo driver for a short time, before Tom Kean got dibs.
I still have a Bill Bradley for President banner in my house hanging on one of my basement walls. I heard him speak at the Cultural Center in Discovery Park during his Dem Primary run. That day he was talking about the NW environment. I really wish he had gone further. Glad to hear though that he has a book out.
