clash of the titans
Sep. 16th, 2005 07:12 pmI watched Clash of the Titans today. i can remember when Clash of the Titans was the scariest movie I'd ever seen. Now it just seems sort of cheezy, but is still really cool and amusing. Ray Harryhausen's animation is really good, even compared with contemporary stuff.
The DVD print is sort of weird, and the animated characters really stand out in a way that I don't remember. They don't seem to stand out in the same way in the special features, which is strange.
In the part about the creatures, Ray Harryhausen says 'we couldn't make a three-headed dog that looked good, so we made a two-headed dog instead,' and I find that really hilarious for some reason.
