The Big Difficult
Sep. 17th, 2005 09:40 amThe truck for Biloxi leaves today. Spent most of yesterday getting ready for it, picking up things and leaving them off other places. This morning is the great pack, and then people will be on their way by noon or four or so, in route to meet up with the volunteers arriving Monday night.

givingshelter blog about it. The views of the area are stunning, and apparently the smell of rot and corruption are everywhere (although the base camp will be in a relatively safe zone.)
It's an interesting crew of Seattlites and Rangers going down, and it will be interesting to see how such an effective crew does. If you want to donate to the group, there's a link in the giving shelter blog, if you'd rather donate time or materials, send email offlist and i can get you the needs and details. If you'd like to go, that would be handy, we're going to be at this for a while.
as for myself, i'm helping with the load-in today, and then heading for san francisco late tonight or tomorrow morning. should be a quiet day/evening after the load finishes, no plans to do anything.
