One of the things we used to do at Filenet was assign products codenames based on particular plans -- moons of jupiter, towns in washington, etc...

@mezzanine, the project I worked on for a few years back in the mid90s, was on the 'minor projects' name scheme, which meant versions were named after towns in washington (after the earliest build lines, which were named Carme.)

So, it was always my goal to give the funniest names possible to a project. There was a 'Humptulips', for example. This dated back to an unfortunate map in someone's office at Saros that had a map where Concrete, WA and Forks, WA were written together in a way that made them look like a single town called 'Concrete Forks,' which is really just ideal as silly place names go.

The eventual piece de resistance of this was a town in Washington called 'Oyhut Swra.' This struck me as an almost ideal name for a project, because it was unmistakable and would sound excellent when said in serious tones at status meetings. Eventually, long after I'd left the project, they named a codeline that was only going to be in active development for a week that. Yesterday, I found out that 'Oyhut Swra' is actually 'Oyhut State Wildlife Recreation Area.'

sic gloria transit mundi.

Concrete (and some other towns) had migrated to the peninsula on this map. It would be about where Quillayute actually is, iirc.
