since this appears for everyone to make completely random mac speculations, i would like to speculate that the announcement will be that the computer that google is apparently about to start selling in retail stores will be based on macosx, and that some random combination of google services will replace .mac.

i have no opinion on whether this is true or not, i just think it's fun to make crazy speculations about computer companies.

Considering that their software such as Picasa doesn't run on Macs, I'll have to shoot that one down. I think the google thing will be a re-surfacing of the Internet Device. Simply put it will be a monitor capable of rendering webpages, especially Google's webpages which will preform most needed functions.

Besides, everybody knows Apple's coming out with dual dual core Intel laptops Tuesday.
