went to the gym yesterday, and instead of bicycling used the 'arm aerobic workout machine.' i feel moderately horrible in the thoracic spine today as a result. hopefully, the cracking that has been going on today from about c5 to t4 is for the good. the gym itself continues to be mellow and fun. using it in the evenings, even as late as 8p, continues to be wretched hell of burning due to large numbers of undergraduates. Generally, I've been going around 9amish during the week, and noonish on the weekends. lots of fun.

Had the first meeting with the new client today; spent a lot of time going over their network stuff and figuring out what the old consultant had screwed up. The things that I'm going to be working on for the next while is stuff I haven't done since CSHL or college, a lot of wire/cat5/telephony junkie type stuff. probably lots of people are better at this than i am, but it's relatively amusing to do.

My 35th birthday and 10 year anniversary since I arrived in Seattle is next month. I will have to do something fun for this, I am thinking of stuff, so if you have any suggestions let me know.

They have those at the gym I use. I haven't really figured out the point yet.

The guy I bought this house from is a network tech for a defense contractor in Huntsville. There must be three miles of cat5 tucked up in the rafters of the garage; I haven't figured out yet whether it's stolen from his employer or just left over from his halfassed attempt at LAN-wiring the house.

Gymmatria is my new favorite word. I... do that. 72 reps here, 208 reps there, ouch, it all means something. Gymmatria!
