mostly just the fact that the new stadium got voted down, and then there was this massive conspiracy to avoid having it put to the voters a second time, eventually passing as an 'emergency measure.'
it's mostly the way that they subverted the vote through an emergency measure that annoys me, considering all the other things (like teacher's salaries) that don't get approved in this state because they're held up in the initiative process.
Alls I'm sayin is that every town that has a national football team just about has experienced this kind of corruption for the purpose of spending hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money on stadiums, so that people can spend millions more at the games; millions that never go back to the taxpayers or the tax base period.
Houston hasn't even gotten to vote on most of their stadiums, and they don't even have any good teams ;)

But there's not a whole lot that the teams could do to stop it even if they wanted to. They are bought and owned.
