Aw, c'mon. Go easy on them. First of all, they have to put up with the fact that their experience of life can be summed up as the lyrics of a country-western song, but with annoying synth layered over the top. The other problem they're constantly dealing with is how fleeting anything cool is. It's like carpe diem for hip, but without any of the carpe part. Everything is so yesterday that there's never a today.

If I had to deal with that, I have to admit that I would grow my hair to a middle length and wear ill-fitting thrift-store blazers too. And sneer more. I would definitely sneer.
