rwxHey folks, two macintosh development questions.
1. For Java Development on the mac, do you prefer Eclipse or XCode? Why? I've been looking at doing some quick development to write a program to resolve something that's been annoying me for the last year, and I thought I'd ask the folks here about development environments before i set off at full speed.
2. How does one set up a java application to receive applescript events? If you could just tell me which of the contradictory explanations out there is true, that would be highly convenient.
3. I'm currently looking at making something which is a background daemon + preference pane + (possible) drop down menu item sort of thing. Is there a good 'programming the macintosh'-type book that folks out there would recommend? I'm looking for stupid Mac UI tricks and stuff like that and not generic programming instruction.
