There are some people who when they shout something at musicians, you can tell they have the apostrophe misplaced or they're using a homonym. Someone was doing that sort of shouting tonight at the A Silver Mt. Zion show, apparently misapprised about what sort of band they were. It all worked out all right, aside from RockKidOfLove2006 who was standing right behind me and breathing heavy and singing along, slow and flat as his muttonchops writhed like mandibles..

It was a super good time, all in all. The opening act was somewhat unfortunate, reminding me of bad experimental jazz bands at the knitting factory. They had a good general feel, but it was sort of random-hip-wretched.

It's about two thirty in the morning, been thinking about adulthood for a lot of the evening. Lots of reasons why, but seen a bunch of spectacular failures of adult behavior of late. Can't sleep, doing some writing and should probably do some cleaning, but I think I hear the sandman nipping at my nose or something.

...and now, I think I'm going to read books about the prehistory of egypt until I falll asleep.

Gray and I hung off to the side of the stage for the ASMZ portion (skipped the opener) - we witnessed the fan-frat-boy-in-baseball-hat getting kicked out in the first 5 minutes.

that was an amazing show none the less!
